Audi Sport Team Joest, the most successful Le Mans team ever with ten wins, fields the new Audi R15 TDI prototypes in the 12-hour race at Sebring and in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
As a sports car driver Reinhold Joest managed to finish on the winner’s podium in Le Mans. His team, established in 1978, celebrated even greater triumphs. Joest Racing set the standards in sports car racing in the 1980s and 1990s. The team won the endurance classics in Daytona, at the Nürburgring, at Le Mans, Sebring and Road Atlanta, the Supercup, the Interseries and the American Le Mans Series. An excursion into touring car racing was also crowned with success: In 1996 Joest Racing won the International Touring Car Championship (ITC).

Joest Racing is a reliable Audi partner since 1998. The team supports Audi Sport during its development tests and forms a competitive race team with support from Audi Sport specialists.
The Audi R8R scored a podium finish on Audi’s Le Mans debut in 1999. Audi Sport Team Joest won convincingly at Le Mans in 2000, 2001 and 2002 – and in doing so brought every Audi R8 entered across the finish line in a leading position. Furthermore, the team from the Odenwald region won the American Le Mans Series four times in succession.
The team around Team Director Reinhold Joest and Technical Director Ralf Jüttner was also involved in the R10 TDITDISynonymous with muscular torque delivery and outstanding efficiency: TDI. Today, TDI engines are sporty, smooth and economical.TDI development and testing program from the very beginning. With the diesel sports car Audi Sport Team Joest clinched yet another hat-trick at Le Mans and a brace of victories in the 12-hour race at Sebring. Another highlight was winning the European based Le Mans Series in 2008 against the tough competition from Peugeot.
